South Burlington Homeshare: Ground Floor Bedroom (Shared Housing)

Welcome to UVM / UVM Medical Center

I have a lovely, large upstairs bedroom for rent in my private home. It is available on May 29, 2026. Rent is $950 plus a split of all utilities & the Internet service.

This is a tri-level townhouse... located in a beautiful development surrounded by a city park and protected woodlands and agricultural fields owned by UVM. Walk out the front door to the pool and tennis court. Stroll across the property to the park for pickleball & basketball. The Champlain Bike path runs through the neighborhood and along beautiful walking paths through the woods. Run, bike, walk, snowshoe or cross-country ski from the house depending on the season.

This is a steady, easy-going, safe home to live in with great neighbors in our area. The house is set up to provide everyone with a lovely large private space of their own and access to the common area. The goal is a friendly, mature, and cooperative environment.

The maximum number of adults in the house is three.

Roommates participate in light weekly tasks; cleaning 1 bathroom and vacuuming a hallway & set of stairs. We all take care of our own room & we pitch in to keep the common areas clean. We have a “leave no trace behind” philosophy around cleaning up after cooking or relaxing on the main floor. I do the weekly clean of the kitchen & dining/living room area.

This homeshare situation has worked best for folks focused on achieving a goal. It has been a household of independent roommates who are open and friendly when making coffee, hanging out at the dining room table or coming and going. It is an easygoing home environment that respects the needs of folks to study in the evening or just relaxed from a full schedule.


Must Love Dogs
I have a 15lb Havanese dog that lives with me. Havanese pups do not shed & are hypoallergenic. Tux is a former medical support dog who has transitioned to the life of a family pet. He is an intelligent, happy, cuddlier who loves to have his belly rubbed. No additional pets.

Layout of the House

Top Floor
Two extra large bedrooms and the master bath. The East facing room is available for rent to a homesharer.

Main Floor
A large common living/dining area with a walkout balcony overlooking a lovely backyard, an L-shaped galley kitchen for cooking all your meals, and a half bath.

Out the front door, a gas grill for great barbecuing.

Ground Floor
A relaxing open space with a bedroom on one side of the room and a comfortable sitting area with a table/desk, futon chair, mini-refrigerator, and plenty of shelves for personal items and clothing.

This room is particularly attractive because it feels very separate from the rest of the house. The room opens up onto a patio in the back yard. Enjoy a cup of coffee outside or walk across the driveway for a dip in the pool.

**There are blackout curtains on the window and sliders.


**** This house is not on the bus line, you must have a car to get around.

- Walk to Overlook Park and catch gorgeous sunsets over Lake Champlain.
- Walk to Dorset Park for South Burlington Nite Out (summer concerts), town baseball, and ice skating!
- Flatbread Fridays by Common Roots at the Wheeler House is walking distance from the house (next to Dorset Park).
- Chittenden Cider Mill is 2.1 from the house. Drive by for terrific deli food and ice cream.
- Swim in Lake Champlain and walk along the trails at Redrocks Park just 2.3 miles down the road.

Orienting to the Area
- UVM Medical Center and campus are 2.5 miles straight up the road.
- Burlington’s Waterfront is 4.4 miles from the house.
- Shelburne Bay and Shelburne Farms hiking trails are 5.1 miles away, a 10 minute drive.
- The Edge Sports & Fitness Center has two locations with 4 minutes of the house.
