My tri-level townhouse is located in a beautiful development surrounded by a city park and protected woodlands and agricultural fields owned by... UVM. You can walk out the front door to the pool and tennis court. Stroll across the property to the park to play pickleball & basketball. The Champlain Bike path runs through the neighborhood and there are quiet walking paths through the woods surrounding us. Run, bike, walk, snowshoe or cross-country ski from the house depending on the season.

This is a steady, easy-going, safe home to live in with great neighbors in our area. The house is set up to provide everyone with a lovely private space of their own and social relaxing in the common areas. The goal is a friendly, mature, and cooperative environment. The maximum number of adults in the house is three and one Havanese dog.

Tux is a retired medical support dog who has transition to being a family pet. He lives to have his belly rubbed. Havanese pups are hypoallergenic. No additional pets.

Your room is fully furnished including pillows, sheets, blankets, & bath towels.

We share light community living. Everyone takes care of their room & picks up after themselves in the common areas. We have a “leave no trace behind” goal in the bathrooms and when done cooking and hanging out on the main floor. Each roommate contributes to weekly light tasks - cleaning one bathroom and vacuuming a hallway & set of stairs. I look after the weekly clean of the main floor, which includes the kitchen.

This homeshare situation has worked best for folks focused on achieving a goal. It has been a household of independent roommates who are open and friendly when making coffee, hanging out at the dining room table or coming and going. It is an easygoing home environment that respects the needs of folks to study in the evening or just relaxed from a full schedule.

Top Floor
Two extra large bedrooms and the master bath.

The available room for rent is the entire East facing side of the upstairs. One side of the room is set up as a bedroom area; the other side, a sitting area with a desk/table, comfortable reading chair, mini-fridge, and food cabinet. **There are blackout curtains on the windows.

Main Floor
A large common living/dining area with a walkout balcony overlooking a lovely backyard, an L-shaped galley kitchen for cooking all your meals, and a half bath.

Out the front door, a gas grill for great barbecuing.

Ground Floor
One bedroom and the common laundry room.

**This house is not on the bus line, you must have a car to get around.

- Walk to Overlook Park and catch gorgeous sunsets over Lake Champlain.
- Walk to Dorset Park for South Burlington Nite Out (summer concerts), town baseball, and ice skating!
- Flatbread Fridays by Common Roots at the Wheeler House is walking distance from the house (next to Dorset Park).
- Chittenden Cider Mill is 2.1 from the house. Drive by for terrific deli food and ice cream.
- Swim in Lake Champlain and walk along the trails at Redrocks Park just 2.3 miles down the road.

Orienting to the Area
- UVM Medical Center and campus are 2.5 miles straight up the road.
- Burlington’s Waterfront is 4.4 miles from the house.
- Shelburne Bay and Shelburne Farms hiking trails are 5.1 miles away, a 10 minute drive.
- The Edge Sports & Fitness Center has two locations with 4 minutes of the house.
